In the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan an auction to sell the right to conclude a forest plantation purchase agreement to the small and medium businesses was held. In total, 84 lots from four forestries, Nurlatsky, Kzyl-Yulduzsky, Kaleykinsky and Menzelinsky, have been put on auction.

The commission of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan received 10 bids for 29 lots. As for 27 lots the auction was declared void (paragraph 1, clause 7, Article 80 of the Forestry Code of the Russian Federation).

With the only participant of the auction a minutes is signed and a forest plantation purchase agreement is made for up to 1 year.

Following the auction, 21,878.06 cubic meters of timber totaling 1,175,195.99 rubles have been sold.

The participation of small and medium businesses in the auction to sell the right to conclude a forest plantation purchase agreement contributes towards the effectiveness of the use of forests and more efficient reclamation of controlled felling area.

As part of the Year of Ecology and Specially Protected Natural Reservations, in senior school of Bimskaya Secondary School the lessons “Specially Protected Natural Reservations of the Republic of Tatarstan” were given. During the lessons, the students increased their knowledge in the area of environmental protection, learned of the peculiarities of the native land nature, of the importance of the Red Book, and of the necessity to protect nature. The Head of Kichke-Tan Nature Sanctuary A.G.Fayzullin told the students about the goals and objectives of the activities of the state nature sanctuaries and natural monuments. The children were interested in the issues of administrative fines, employment in the environmental authorities, environmental competitions, etc. Following the meetings, the most active students received calendars and booklets as memorable gifts.

In order to draw public attention to the issues of environmental development, environmental awareness and education of the younger generation, in the late June – early July 2017 (7th session) in the Krasnodar Region the Federal Forestry Agency holds the specialized session for members of the school forestry units at the premises of the All-Russian Child Center “Orlyonok”.

The duration of the session is 3 weeks. The participants of the specialized session range in age from 10 to 17 years inclusive.

Accommodation and meals are at the expense of the host party. The travelling expenses are born by the sending party.

The training program within the specialized session will include theoretical studies in combination with the practical training, business games, and workshops on conservation, protection and restoration of forests carried out by the specialists of organizations subordinate to the Federal Forestry Agency. At the end of the thematic session, the All-Russia Congress (meeting) of school forestry units will be held.

Those who are the representatives of the best school forestry units selected following the results of the All-Russia absentia competition “The best school forestry unit”, the winners and prize winners of the All-Russia Junior Forest Contest “Young Growth” and regional stages of the said contest, as well as the winners of the regional meetings of the school forestry units will be enrolled into the specialized session.

On February 9, a group of students of Tetyushsky Agricultural Technical School visited Dolgaya Polyana Nature Sanctuary. Together with the staff of the sanctuary an event was held to clean snow and ice from the spring “Elizabeth” and a flight of stairs leading to it. At the end of the active work done by labor team a lecture was given and a sanctuary tour was conducted. The aim of the event devoted to the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces in the Republic of Tatarstan was to increase the interest of young people to the conservation of protected natural areas of the republic, their fate and value ​​of the natural heritage of Tatarstan. At the end of the event, the themed competitions and joint tea party were held.

A cluster workshop was held in Lubyany to improve the quality of the activities on the use, conservation, protection and reproduction of forests. The First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Emir Bedertdinov took part in the seminar. In the first part of the seminar there was talk of the implementation of the federal state forest supervision in forests and the procedure for imposition of administrative sanctions for violation of the forest legislation. The Lead Consultant of the Legal Department Nadezhda Savchenko and the Head of the Department of State Control and Supervision Niyaz Tazmeev made representations at the seminar. The Head of State Forest Register, Use of Forests and Forest Management Alexey Mosunov told about the procedure for providing citizens with forest plantations for their own needs, as well as about the procedure for keeping state forest register and new rules for timber harvesting.

At the seminar the representative of the Kazan branch of Roslesinforg made a presentation “On implementation of the state forest inventory in terms of evaluation of activities on conservation, protection, reproduction and use of forests by land methods”.

The second part of the seminar was devoted to reforestation and forest pathology survey, as well as the provision of parcels of forested area for use.

In the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan a meeting on the problems preventing the state cadastral registration of ownership rights of the Russian Federation on parcels of forested area from forest land reserve was held. The issues of cooperation between concerned government agencies and prosecutors in the judicial and claims activities on the return of forest lands to the federal ownership have been also discussed.

The meeting participants are the Department of Forestry for the Volga Federal District, Roslesinforg, Kazan branch and Moslesproekt branch of Roslesinforg, local office of the Federal Property Management Agency, Directorate of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography, the branch of the Federal Cadastral Chamber for the Republic of Tatarstan, and forestries.

The experts of Ashit Nature Sanctuary held an interesting quiz called “Fascinating world of birds” with 7 graders of Novokyrlayskaya Secondary School of the Arsky District. During the event, the children performed tasks together, showed good knowledge of the birds’ life, of the necessity of careful attitude to them, of helping feathered in winter. The experts of the sanctuary in detail told the students about the birds that live in the territory of natural monument “Tukay – Kyrlay Forest” and listed in the Red Book. The activities related to the Year of the Specially Protected Natural Reservations in the Republic of Tatarstan were emphasized.

Upon completion of the environmental lesson the active participants were awarded diplomas and gifts.

Today, the Cooperation Agreement in the field of forest relations was signed by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Almas Nazirov and the Chairman of the State Committee on Forestry of the Republic of Tyva A.T. Baraan.

The Agreement provides for a series of joint activities aimed at providing methodical, organizational and counselling assistance in implementation of the state forest supervision, forest protection from fires, forest utilization arrangement.

During the official part of the event, the Tuvan colleagues thanked Tatarstan foresters for their hospitality and the exchange of experience, and expressed their interest in a long-term cooperation.

In the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan a meeting of the Committee for Ecology, Natural Resource Management, Agroindustrial and Food Policy “On the planned activities in connection with the Year of Ecology declared in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2017” was held. The deputies of the State Council, representatives of ministries and departments, and the mass media took part in the event.

During the joint meeting, several issues, including those concerning the Ministry of Forestry, have been considered. As part of the Year of Ecology, the foresters will conduct reforestation activities on the territory of 2.5 thousand hectares, and the establishment of forest plantations on the whole territory of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The experts of the state regional multipurpose nature sanctuary “Spassky” together with the mentors of the daycare center “Kolosok” of the Spassky Municipal District of Tatarstan Vera Osintseva and Yulia Yakhina, as part of the Year of Specially Protected Natural Reservations, held an event under the motto “Let every little bird have its own birdfeeder”. The purpose of the event is to deepen the children's knowledge about birds. In a conversation with the younger generation the chief expert of the sanctuary Lyubov Murzak told the children about the birds listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Tatarstan, their role in nature, where they hibernate and what they eat, and what food they need during the cold season.

During the environmental lesson, the children recited poems and solved riddles together. At the end of the event, the results of the traditional competition for the best birdfeeder have been summarized. The most active participants will be awarded soon.
