The start of “Ski-trial of Russia” happened on 10th of February was dedicated to International Summer Universiade in Kazan and its distance was 2013 meters. In all-Russian race on the riverside of Kazanka took part the specialists of the Ministry of Forestry republic of Tatarstan headed by the Deputy Minister Ramil Makhmutov.

Together with the teachers of faculty of forestry and ecology from Kazan State Agricultural University they are going to visit a lot of schools of municipal districts of Republic in February. The foresters are telling about the conditions and potential of development of forestry in Republic of Tatarstan, about the conditions of work in forestry which are going to be possible place of work for the graduated from KSAU.

In 2012 in different authorities of Ministry of Forestry RT got their job ten graduates from this university.

15 years marked from the day when State reserved forestry of regional importance “Sviyazhskii” started its work.

The area of nature reserve is about 12456.32 ha. This reserved forestry is located on the territory of two municipal regions of Republic of Tatarstan – Zelenodolskii and Verkhneuslonskii regions. The main idea of creation is conservation and rehabilitation of natural and artificial ecosystems of river Sviyaga, Sviyazhskii creek of Kuibishev reservoir and circumjacent bottomland plot, storage of commercially important and exotic species of fish, unique natural landscape and biological diversity.

The staff of reserved forestry consists of 8 inspectors. Last four years the Head of this forestry is Aleksandr Evgenievich Salmin.

For 15 years of work by the inspectors of this forestry were made more than 1800 actions on different areas of reserved forestry and designated water areas of rivers Sviyaga, Sulica, Arja, Buva, Kubnja. During the supervision actions there were detected more than 700 breaches of nature conservation laws. From the breakers were collected 660 thousand of rubbles of fines.

To the jubilee of reserved forestry the Ministry prepared a special booklet which is containing information about plant and animal life of this reserved forestry and also the main areas of activities.

For achieving great results in ecology-outreach activities and keeping biodiversity by the decree of Minister of Forestry the members of this reserved forestry got the Certificate of Appreciation.

When the land is covered with the great mantle of snow it’s always became difficult for animals to find food. And in this case the members of state reserved forestry are coming to help animals. In Leninogorskii district in reserved forestry “Stepnoi” they have very beautiful and quite rare representatives of hoofed animals - roe deer which are willingly coming to the feedboxes with hey and oatmeal. Here you can also see a lot of birds. The inspectors of reserved forestry had a chance to take pictures of these timid animals after visiting their “canteen”.

LLC “Rosneftekomplekt” is one of the oldest friends and helpers for reserved forestry in this generous action. Chief executive of this company is Vladimir Alekseevich Roslov. For supplementary feeding of animals this company bought 250 kg of hay and 270 kg of oatmeal. The Ministry of Forestry of Republic of Tatarstan really expresses gratitude to V. Roslov for long-term partnership with reserved forestry “Stepnoi” which is directed to rehabilitation of animal life in Republic.

This day has been celebrated since 1971 when in Iran city Ramsar on the coast of Caspian Sea was signed the Convention about wetlands.

The States which signed Ramsar Convention determine on their territory assorted places for including them into the List of wetlands of international importance. They are obligated to protect these areas, swimming birds and also provide supervision of these territories.

The territory of state reserved forestry of regional importance which is called “Spasskii” represents an archipelago of 60 islands with the multiple chains of wetlands. This was the topic of event organized by the specialists of reserved forestry which took place in Bazarno-Matakzkii gymnasium called after Nabi Dauali in Alkeevskii region.

In the state reserved forestry “Clean Meadows” they also have a quite big area of wetlands. This Day went in the action against poaching.

In Nizhnii Novgorod had place a meeting dedicated to results of silvicultural season 2012 and readiness to forest restoration work in 2013.

In a meeting took part the representatives of Federal Agency of forestry, Forestry Department in Privolzhski Federal District, FSUE “Roslesinforg”, FSFI “Roslesozaschita” and also executive authorities of Russian Federation which are located in the border of Privolzhski Federal District authorized in the sphere of forestry. From the Ministry of Forestry RT in this meeting took part First Deputy of the Minister Kharis Musin.

In the frames of meeting there were discussed questions of providing with tree-seed materials in accordance with budget project in 2013 and formation of seed reserves in regions of Russian Federation which are located in Privolzhski Federal District and also the reason of underutilization of cutting area in line with the project of forest exploration.(adapted from Federal Agency of forestry)

The Head forester of Agrizskii forestry Afanasii Danilov organized a meeting with members of forestry and children of Izg-Bobenskii school and he also made a model lesson in the park “Oreshnik”. And of course the main object of the lesson on the fresh air was winter forest itself. The members of the forestry told children not only about tenants of the wood and their wintering but about work of school forestry. Children hanged up bird tables which they made on the lessons of labor at school and with pleasure fed birds with grains and cereals which they specially brought from home.

After the model lesson which they spend in the forest they went to the forestry. It was useful for all the children to visit the museum of Agrizskii forestry, they watched the albums with historical photos of veterans of forestry with great pleasure and they also got acquainted with the exhibit items of museum. During the excursion Afanasii Mikhailovich Danilov told the kids about the importance of the forester profession and the universities and colleges where they can get the profession of forester. The pupils of graduation classes were listening with the great attention and decided to visit Lubyanskii Forestry College.

In schools and day-care centers of Republic of Tatarstan went lessons dedicated to the Year of ecological culture and environmental protection.

The specialists of forestry “Kichke-Tan” and the Head forester of “Agrizskii forestry” visited Tersinskii school and school №3 named after Tazi Gizzat in Agriz. Teenagers asked questions about forestry, profession of forester and inspector of forestry.

Specialists answered on their questions and told teenagers about plant and animal life in Prikamskii region about environmental protection actions and called them to take part in these events.

The staff of state reserved forestry “Ashit” gave a talk to the children of Buzhinskii day-care center in Arskii region and the topic was “How do winter animals?”

During the meeting children recited poetry about wild animals, guessed puzzles, got acquainted with proverbs and tongue -twisters about winter, drew pictures about animals and watched a cartoon “Prints of unknown animals” from the animated series “Masha and the Bear”. These kinds of lessons help children to know more about wild animals in forests, let them know what food they eat and where they winter, what protection made for them nature and how easier they can rub through winter time.

The Minister of Forestry Nail Magdeev made a meeting in which took part the heads of forestry and forests guards of state forestry “Les”.

First Deputy of the Minister Kharis Musin reported about the work which had been done for the last year. He made an emphasis on questions of creation of shelter forests work of forest nurseries and on questions of state control and supervision also he said about maintenance of sanitary state of forests.

In his report Deputy Minister Ramil Makhmutov noticed that mail efforts of state forestry “Les” are directed to plan realization of output product in forest industry. The President of RT Rustam Minnikhanov highly evaluated work in a program of wooden architecture restoration in historical center of Kazan and thanked forestry workers and personnel from forestry “Les” for participation in this program.

At the end of meeting The Minister Nail Magdeev presented the Heads of forestry “Les” with certificates of appreciation from the Ministry. Their forestry nurseries admitted as places of high production standards.

By the Decree of the President of RT for long-term productive work and for large individual contribution in the development of forestry in RT Nail Gambarovich Magdeev, the Minister of Forestry was awarded a medal “For Valorous Labour”.
