Visit of the delegation of the North-Kazakhstan region

Today, the Minister Almas Nazirov held a meeting with the delegation of forestry of the North-Kazakhstan region in the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. The purpose of their visit is the exchange of experience and mutual cooperation. Currently, the specialists of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of Akimat of the North-Kazakhstan Region of the Republic of Kazakhstan are studying the introduction of methods for growing planting material with a closed root system and further planting in the forest fund. During the conversation, the Minister acquainted Kazakh colleagues with the forestry activities of Tatarstan, including the work of the Forest Selection and Seed Center of Sabinsky district, where 12 million seedlings with closed root system are grown annually. In turn, the Kazakh representatives told about their forest resources. The total area of their forest fund is 550 thousand hectares where 430 thousand hectares are covered with forest. Basically in the forests of the North-Kazakhstan region birch - 88% and pine at 6% predominate.

In general, during the meeting, promising areas of interaction between the parties and opportunities for further cooperation were discussed, after which the delegation went to the Forest Selection and Seed Center of RT for further acquaintance with the experience of growing the planting material with a closed root system.
