On February 26 the Winter Sports Contest “Forest Ski Track– 2020” will be held in Lubyany
On February 26, 2020 Winter Sports Contest “Forest Ski Track - 2020”, dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic Foundation will take place in Lubyany village of Kukmorskiy municipal district. The organizers of the event are the Primary Trade Union Organization of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College.
The competition will be attended by teams of the Ministry and its subordinate institutions, the Kazan branch of Roslesinforg Federal State Budgetary Institution, the East European Forest Experimental Station branch of VNIILM, the Roslesozashita branch of the Federal Budgetary Institution - Forest Protection Center of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the Forest Transport Company AO, Faculty of Forestry and Ecology of KSAU, etc. It is expected that the event will bring together more than 200 people.
The best skiers will be determined in the following age categories: “children's race”, “boys, students and pupils aged 16 to 25 years”, “girls, students and pupils aged 16 to 25 years”, “men aged 18 to 35 years old” , “women aged 18 to 35 years” , “men aged 35 years and older” and “women aged 35 years and older”. So, men will need to overcome the distance of 2.5 km, and women - 1.5 km. It is expected that the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov, the Head of Kukmorskiy municipal district Sergey Dimitriev and the Head of Sabinskiy municipal district Rais Minnikhanov will take part in skiing.
Also on this day competitions in military-applied sports, dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War will be held. Participants of the competition will have to demonstrate their knowledge of military ranks and complete a number of tasks on orienting on the terrain, throwing grenades, transferring ammunition, carrying "wounded", etc.
The event will be accompanied by a concert and music program with participation of creative teams of Kukmorskiy municipal district. In addition, a unique exhibition of products of forest districts and forestry enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan will be organized as part of the holiday.
