The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan recalls the requirements of forestry legislation on accounting for timber and transactions with it

In 2015, the LesEGAIS system began operating in the Russian Federation. This system is designed to record timber and transactions with it, as well as to analyze the information provided and control the information received.

The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan reminds that failure to submit or untimely submission of a declaration on timber transactions, as well as the submission of deliberately false information in a declaration on timber transactions, entails the imposition of an administrative fine on officials in the amount of 5 to 20 thousand rubles, on persons carrying out entrepreneurial activity without forming a legal entity from 7 to 25 thousand rubles, for legal entities from 100 to 200 thousand rubles. Violation of the procedure for accounting for wood entails the imposition of an administrative fine on officials in the amount of 25 to 35 thousand rubles, on legal entities from 200 to 400 thousand rubles, violation of the requirements of forest legislation in terms of compulsory wood marking on officials in the amount of 30 up to 40 thousand rubles with or without confiscation of wood, for legal entities from 300 to 500 thousand rubles with or without confiscation of wood.

Transportation of timber without an accompanying document drawn up in accordance with the forest legislation procedure entails the imposition of an administrative fine on officials in the amount of 30 to 50 thousand rubles with confiscation of timber and (or) vehicles that are an instrument of committing an administrative offense, or without it, on legal entities from 500 to 700 thousand rubles with or without confiscation of timber and (or) vehicles that are an instrument of committing an administrative offense.
