Issues of ensuring fire safety in forests were discussed at a meeting of the Federal Headquarters for the Coordination of Forest Fire Fighting Activities

Today, the Federal Forestry Agency hosted a meeting of the Federal Headquarters to coordinate activities to extinguish forest fires. It was chaired by Alexander Agafonov, deputy head of Rosleskhoz.

The event, which was held in the videoconference mode, was attended by representatives of FBU Avialesokhrana, the Forestry Department for the Volga Federal District, and forestry management bodies of the Volga Federal District, including from the Republic of Tatarstan - First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov, head of the security sector and protection of the forest fund of the Ministry Aleksey Mosunov.

During the meeting, the issues of the passage of the fire hazardous season in the forests of 2021 in the subjects of the Volga Federal District were considered. “In the coming period, a high class of fire hazard in forests is expected in the regions of the district. Therefore, it is necessary to hold extraordinary meetings of the commissions for the prevention and elimination of emergencies and ensure fire safety, strengthen interagency cooperation, and take all measures to prevent forest fires,” said Alexander Agafonov.

In particular, the deputy head of Rosleskhoz outlined several tasks related to the implementation of a set of measures for the fire-prevention arrangement of forests, the conduct of explanatory work among the population on the observance of fire safety rules in forests, etc.
