Temporary restriction on visiting forests introduced in Tatarstan

In connection with the high class of fire hazard in forests, following the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan No. 456 dated June 15, 2021, in the Republic of Tatarstan, a restriction on the stay of citizens in forests has been introduced from June 16 to 21 calendar days. Restrictions are established concerning forests located on the lands of the forest fund of the republic.

“Thus, in the coming period in Tatarstan, the stay of citizens in the forests, the entry of vehicles into them and the performance of certain types of work in the forests are limited, except for through passage on public roads of persons carrying out activities on the use of forests following the current legislation”, explained Alexey Mosunov, head of the forestry protection sector of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan.

According to the decree, specialists of the forestry industry of the Republic of Tatarstan will carry out work to install warning notices about the introduction of the restriction, the period of its validity, and the blocking of forest roads with barriers.

“To ensure fire safety in the forests, the around-the-clock watch has been organized in subordinate institutions, patrolling in forest areas has been strengthened, temporary posts have been organized in places of mass visits to forests on weekends. Also, full readiness of fire extinguishing forces and means, including reserve ones, for prompt response to reports of fires and forest fires has been ensured,” added Alexey Mosunov.

Let us recall that in the Republic of Tatarstan, fire safety in the forest is provided by 20 types II forest fire stations and 5 types III forest fire stations. Space, aviation, and ground monitoring of the fire hazardous situation in the forests are carried out, in addition, a set of measures is being taken for the fire-prevention arrangement of forests.
