Since the beginning of 2021, specialists from subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan - forestry enterprises have procured 702.4 kg of seeds of the main forest-forming species. Of these, pine - 378 kg, spruce - 207.4 kg, larch - 22 kg, birch - 70 kg and linden - 25 kg.
Among the leaders in seed procurement are Mamadyshsky, Menzelinsky, and Educational-Experimental Sabinsky forestry enterprises of the republic.
It should be reminded that the harvesting of seeds of forest plants is an additional indicator of the regional project “Preservation of Forests in the Republic of Tatarstan” within the framework of the federal project “Preservation of Forests” of the national project “Ecology”. According to the project, this year it is necessary to procure at least 11455 kg of seeds. It should be noted that the bulk of the seeds will be harvested in the second half of this year.
