Today, in the city of Saransk, Republic of Mordovia, a meeting was held on the topic "The effectiveness of the implementation of the delegated powers in the field of forest relations by the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District: the results of 2021 and tasks for 2022." The meeting was attended by Deputy Head of the Federal Forestry Agency Vyacheslav Spirenkov, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District Igor Panshin, Head of the Republic of Mordovia Artem Zdunov, Head of the Forestry Department for the Volga Federal District Alexander Ornatsky, heads of regional forestry management bodies Volga Federal District, including from the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov, representatives of industry institutions, scientific and expert community.

During his speech, the head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov briefed the meeting participants on the progress of digitalization of the forestry complex of the Republic of Tatarstan. In particular, he spoke about the developed and implemented in the republic the Geoinformation system of the forest fund of the Republic of Tatarstan and the service for monitoring and controlling the state of the forest fund based on remote sensing data. "This year, a project was implemented to transfer government services provided by the Ministry to electronic form," the minister said. "Among them are the provision of extracts from the state forest register, the acceptance of forest declarations and reports on the use of forests, the provision of forest plots for free use, for rent based on the results of an auction and without holding a tender".

"In general, in the long term, we plan to include such tasks as updating the computer park and technical equipment of the Ministry and its subordinate institutions, creating an up-to-date digital database on forest lands and a regional forest management system," added Ravil Kuzyurov.
