Today, the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a lecture for employees of the Ministry and its subordinate institutions on the topic "Implementation of state policy in the field of combating corruption". The audience was addressed by the Chairman of the Council of Public Organizations and Associations of the Republic of Tatarstan for Combating Corruption, Acting Vice-Rector for Research and Relations with the Regions, Professor of the FSBEI DPO "TIPKA" Sergei Alekseev.
The meeting was opened by the First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov. "Traditionally, in the first decade of December, we hold an event on the eve of the International Day against Corruption. Let me remind you about the history of this holiday. 18 years ago, on December 9, 2003, the United Nations Convention against Corruption was opened for signature at the conference. Since then, this day is celebrated as the International Day against Corruption," noted Ilgizar Zaripov. "On December 9, in many countries, various meetings, seminars, conferences, and other events are held on the topic of combating corruption. I am sure everyone will agree that corruption is one of the serious conditions that impede the effective development of the state, therefore, the fight against it is one of the most important tasks facing society."
During his speech, Sergey Alekseev, Chairman of the Council of Public Organizations and Associations of the Republic of Tatarstan for Combating Corruption, Acting Vice-Rector for Research and Relations with Regions, FSBEI DPO "TIPKA", spoke about the history of corruption in Russia, the reasons, types, signs of corruption and the main mechanisms fight her. Along with this, he dwelled on regulatory legal acts in the field of combating corruption and implementing anti-corruption policies in the Republic of Tatarstan.
"In general, I am sure that intolerance to corruption should be instilled in the family as early as childhood. The task of parents is to show children how important it is to be a fair, honest, decent, law-abiding, and merciful person," said, in particular, Sergei Alekseev. "This is the only way we can, if not defeat corruption, then at least minimize it."
