On July 27-29, on the basis of the Lubyansky Forestry College, the V Meeting of School Forestries of the Republic of Tatarstan “Digital Forest” will be held
From July 27 to July 29, 2022, on the basis of the State Budgetary Educational Institution “Lubyansky Forestry College” in the village of Lubyany, Kukmorsky Municipal District, the V Meeting of School Forestries of the Republic of Tatarstan “Digital Forest” will be held. The event will be held as part of the school forestry movement development program and the Year of Digitalization in the Republic of Tatarstan.
The meeting will be attended by 93 people from 31 school forestries, in total the forum will bring together more than 200 people.
On the first day of the rally, a fascinating lecture on the digital transformation of the forestry industry will be organized for students. Schoolchildren will learn about the services developed and implemented in the Republic of Tatarstan, which allow automating the activities of accounting and managing forest resources, and timely identify changes in the territory of the forest fund. In addition, an interactive intellectual game “Forest Digital Quiz” is planned.
The next day, July 28, the official opening ceremony of the V Meeting of school forestries of the Republic of Tatarstan “Digital Forest”, as well as the main competition “Young Foresters” will take place. Participants will have to develop an information booklet and perform a number of practical tasks in the areas of “Botany and Dendrology” (determine the type of plant by leaves and shoots, tree species and type of shrub by seeds), “Taxation” (find out visually and using tools the diameter, height, age tree), “Protection of forests" (to establish the type of bird, stem, needle and leaf-eating pests of the forest in appearance and living environment), “Reforestation and afforestation” (demonstrate the main methods and technologies for planting seedlings and saplings), “Geodesy” (orientation with a compass), “Fire Fighting” (imitation of fire fighting) and “Machines and mechanisms in forestry” (demonstrate knowledge of the exploited machinery and equipment in forestry). The difference in 2022 is that almost all practical tasks will be digitized.
Also on this day, educational programs will be organized by leading experts from ANO VO “University of Innopolis”, LLC “Innogeotech”, the Kazan branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Roslesinforg” and the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Roslesozashchita” “Forest Protection Center of the Republic of Tatarstan”. Students will be able to see forest management tablets, learn how to use electron microscopes and create maps using the QGIS software product. Along with this, the specialists of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Forest Fire Center” will hold a master class on extinguishing forest fires, GBPOU “Lubyansky Forestry College” - master classes in art painting on wood, basket weaving, woolen sketching and making toys from natural materials.
On the last day, July 29, the winners of the V Meeting of school forestries of the Republic of Tatarstan “Digital Forest” will be summed up and awarded.
