Reforestation completed in Tatarstan within the framework of the national project “Ecology”
In Tatarstan, reforestation work has been completed within the framework of the regional project “Preservation of forests in the Republic of Tatarstan” of the federal project “Preservation of forests” of the national project “Ecology”. In total, the work was carried out on an area of 3619.1 hectares, of which planting forest crops on an area of 1412.5 hectares, afforestation - on 104.6 hectares, combined reforestation - on 4 hectares, natural reforestation - on 2098 hectares.
Recall that the additional indicators of the regional project “Preservation of forests in the Republic of Tatarstan” are “The stock of seeds of forest plants for reforestation and afforestation, kg” and “The amount of grown planting material of forest plants, thousand pieces”. Their planned values for the current year are 11455 kg of seeds and 30863 thousand seedlings, respectively.
As of September 15, 2022, specialists from subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan - forestry enterprises collected 1232 kg of seeds of the main forest-forming species, of which pine - 761 kg, spruce - 142 kg, larch - 25 kg, birch - 20 kg, linden - 34 kg, other breeds - 250 kg. The results of the inventory of planting material in the basic forest nurseries will be known in November this year.
