The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan conducted command and staff trainings on working out the speed of forest fires extinguishing. The site of the dislocation was the territory of the State Public Institution "Nurlatskiy Forest District". Ravil Kuzyurov, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Aleksandr Orlov, Deputy Minister of Defense and Emergency of the Republic of Tatarstan, Sergei Kovalyov, Deputy Head of the Department of Forestry in the Volga Federal District, Almaz Akhmetshin, Head of the Nurlatskiy municipal district participated in the trainings.
According to the scenario of trainings, reeds burned on the shore of the lake, the fire spread to dry grass. Gradually, the flame spread to the children's camp "Zarechye". For extinguishing the fire, employees of the forest fire protection of the republic from different regions, as well as their colleagues from the Samara and Ulyanovsk regions were involved. A total of 150 employees of the Ministry of Forestry and the Ministry of Emergency and 15 units of equipment were involved in the exercises. Also, an unmanned aerial vehicle was used to monitor the fire situation.
The forest patrol group arrived first to the fire site. The fire-fighters began to extinguish the fire with the help of back pack forest fire extinguishers. The machinery arrived to help them: a tractor with a plow for scorching a fire, a truck with water. But the area of fire "spread" to the forest areas. The scenario of the exercise included episodes of passing of fire to a conditional holiday village. Thanks to well-coordinated work, the fire was quickly extinguished. The Minister was satisfied with the results of the trainings.
"We are satisfied with the result - all machinery is prepared, inventory is also on the site, employees are trained, regulations are also approved," Ravil Kuzyurov said.
In Tatarstan, forest fires have been prevented for 7 years, and this high standard should be kept by foresters in this fire-dangerous period.
Specialists of Krasnoborskiy district forestry of the State Public Institution “Agryzskiy Forest District” under the "Clean Forests of Tatarstan" campaign conducted an ecological raid. Pupils of school forestry took an active part in cleaning the forest area from domestic waste. Within the framework of the campaign, the foresters cleared out garbage in the area of 2 hectares in the volume of 5 cubic meters. The motto of the participants is "Forests should please us with mighty trees, and not grieve with the mountains of garbage left by people".
At the initiative of the Council of Veterans in Spasskoe village, "Plant Your Tree" campaign was held; it was aimed at improving the territory of the spring and the church. Employees of Bugulminskiy forest district supported this initiative and allocated planting material in the form of seedlings of spruce, larch and poplar. The campaign found a warm and lively response in the hearts of the residents.
Today, on April 25, employees of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in planting trees near the Tatar State Philharmonic Hall named after Gabdulla Tukay. Similar actions are held here annually.
The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan actively supports this tradition and annually allocates planting material in the form of a decorative large-sized tree - "Blue Spruce" from the forest nursery of the State Budgetary Institution "Training and Experimental Suburban Forestry Enterprise".

1. Aleksandr Sergeyevich Klyuchayev, Composer, People's Artist of Tatarstan, Honored Art Worker of Tatarstan and Russia, Laureate of the State Prize of TASSR (Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic) named after G. Tukay.
2. Ayrat Gireyevich Arslanov, People's Artist of Russia and Tatarstan, Laureate of the State Prize of the TASSR named after G. Tukay.
3. Fuat Shakirovich Mansurov, An outstanding conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Kazakhstan and Tatarstan, Laureate of the State Prize of TASSR named after G.Tukay.
Employees of State Budgetary Professional Educational Institution "Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College" and the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan once again visited Arskiy district in order to conduct vocational guidance work with pupils of schools and their parents. About 300 people gathered at the meeting with the agitation team of foresters. Specialists of the forestry industry presented a film about the work of the Ministry of Forestry and told about all steps to the profession of a forester. Students showed concert numbers, and a master class on basketwork took place in the lobby of the building.
Today Ravil Kuzyurov, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, visited the Forestry and Ecology Faculty of Kazan State Agrarian University, where he met with future university entrants - pupils of school forest districts of Tatarstan. Jaudat Faizrakhmanov, Rector of University, Lyudmila Pukhacheva, Dean of the Forestry and Ecology Faculty and Professor Haris Musin took part in the event.
As part of the welcoming speech, Ravil Kuzyurov underlined the importance of conservation and multiplication of forests, not only in the ecological sense, but also noted the significant impact of the forest sector in the economy of the region and the country.
"At present the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic is developing a program to support young professionals who have decided to link their lives with the forest sector. We will try hard to get help from the government, young specialists should go to work with us," Minister Ravil Kuzyurov noted.
At the end of the meeting Ravil Kuzyurov, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with Jaudat Faizrakhmanov, Rector of the University awarded the winners of the essay contest. It was held among the pupils of the 10th form of school forest districts of Tatarstan. The children presented their thoughts on the topic "My native land is a forest cradle" and "Forests of my small motherland". The main goal of the contest is popularization of forestry professions.
The Contest Committee reviewed the works of 17 pupils. The contest was held in two nominations – in the Russian and Tatar languages. The pupils from Sabinskiy Forest District and Laishevskiy Forestry Establishment became the winners. The best pupils received awards from the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Today Ravil Kuzyurov, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, participated at the regular meeting of the Research and Development Board in the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. They discussed the priority project of improving the Volga River. Aleksandr Shadrikov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan, and Fedor Batkov, Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on biological resources also took part in the meeting. Members of the board discussed the issues of preservation and prevention of pollution of the Volga River in the territory of the republic, including regulation of diffuse flow. "We need to create protective forest plantations on the area of 7,000 hectares, which will help to strengthen the shoreline, said Ravil Kuzyurov, and we have every opportunity to do this".
In connection with the expiration of the term of the Forestry Plan of the Republic of Tatarstan and the need to plan the activities of the forest sector of the Republic for a 10-year period, on April 18, 2018, a state contract was concluded between the Ministry and Federal State Budgetary Institution “Roslesinforg”. Today the discussion of the document took place, where employees of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, developers of Roslesinforg, as well as representatives of other departments took part.
The Forest Plan is the main document of forest planning in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. The purpose of today's meeting was to discuss the new composition of the forest plan and the operational interaction between all involved agencies and organizations in its development.
On the territory of Zainskiy municipal district, command-and-staff trainings were conducted in conjunction with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan to deploy forces and facilities to extinguish forest fires and eliminate emergency situations. Practical measures of checking the response of permanent readiness were inspected.
In the meantime, the employees of State Budgetary Institution "Zainskiy Forestry Enterprise" started creating mineralized strips. They are made along the forest to create a barrier against the movement of fire.
A joint training was also conducted to localize and eliminate forest fires on the territory of Buinskiy and Almetyevskiy forest districts.
Today, in the Forest Selection and Seed Center of the Republic of Tatarstan, at the invitation of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, employees of the Volga State University from Yoshkar-Ola conducted a master class on "forest surgery" - work on seedlings pruning and combining.
In Tatarstan in recent years much work has been done to revive the work on the genetics of forest cultures. This master class was held as part of the beginning of the silvicultural season.
"The process of trees planting is very complicated. Lecturers of the Volga State University have worked all their lives in this direction; they know all ins and outs of this work. We invited them specially to share their knowledge", said Timur Galiev, Head of the Reforestation and Afforestation Department of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Saplings of the improved coniferous seedlings in the amount of 500 pieces are planned to be planted on special plantations in Arsk, Saby and Kaibitsy. Many years of practice and research have shown that grafted plantations are much more valuable than planting materials grown from seeds.
Such method of trees plantation has existed for a long time in the world, in Tatarstan there are even forest-seed plantations created in such way. The Ministry of Forestry of Tatarstan is actively working in this direction.
"Currently, the Forest Seed Center needs seeds with improved properties, at present the existing plantations allow collection of 25-40 kg of seeds. But we are ready to increase this amount, additional plantations are being created for these purposes", said Emir Bedertdinov, First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Also today, the Forest Selection and Seed Center, located in Leskhoz village of Sabinskiy district of Tatarstan, was visited by representatives of the Federal Forestry Agency, who got acquainted with the work of the center. Annually 12 million seedlings with a closed root system are grown here. Representatives of the federal department highly appreciated the work of Tatarstan foresters.
