Today, representatives of the Federal Forestry Agency visited the Forest Selection and Seed Center, located in Leskhoz village of Sabinskiy district of Tatarstan. The trip was of a fact-finding character.

Representatives of the federal department highly appreciated the work of Tatarstan foresters. The Forest Selection and Seed Center is considered the best in Russia. Annually 12 million seedlings with a closed root system are grown here.

The Forest Selection and Seed Center of the Republic of Tatarstan is an innovative complex including modern technologies for the production of planting material with a closed root system and forest seeds with improved qualities. This complex is the largest in Europe automated forest selection and seed center, equipped with modern equipment of BSS AB company (Sweden).

Specialists of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in a sectorial seminar dedicated to the issues of "LesEGAIS”, additional systems of wood recording and technologies in the legal field.

Representatives of federal and regional authorities in the field of forestry relations, law enforcement agencies and other departments described the main principles of work in the system, the most common mistakes made by forest users, sellers and wood transporters, planned innovations and changes in the federal law 415-FZ and LesEGAIS.

In accordance with the explanations of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, one of the innovations is that all sawn timber of 16.10.10 type can be either planed or not planed, both edged and non-edged, both dried and naturally moist. Primary sawmill production is mostly, a semi-finished product, from which consumer products are subsequently produced, with the exception of sleepers and railway bars.

For the first time in four years the republic began to revive the work on the genetics of forest cultures. Today, on April 18, at the Forest Selection and Seed Center of Tatarstan, in the framework of preparation for silvicultural season, a master class is held on the introduction of the current technology - inoculation of seedlings, which allows to improve highly the genetic properties of trees. "Forest surgeons" carry out an "operation" on pines, spruce and oaks. Employees of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan take part in the master class.

The process of trees inoculation is very complicated and difficult. This activity can even be compared with surgical actions against trees. However, many years of practice and research have shown that grafted plantations are much more valuable than planting materials grown from seeds.

Ravil Kuzyurov, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, began his report in the Cabinet of Ministers of RT with statistics. Since the beginning of this year, more than 660 forest fires have occurred on the territory of the Russian Federation, on the area of ​​252 thousand hectares.

As of April 16, the greatest number of forest fires was registered in the Amur Region - 161 pcs, for more than 177 thousand hectares. There, due to forest fires, the emergency regime was introduced. Primorski Territory - 148 pcs, on the area of ​​more than 30 thousand hectares, the Trans-Baikal Territory - 200 pcs, more than 9 thousand hectares.

The Minister said that in Tatarstan a fire season began on April 15. Also Ravil Kuzyurov noted that the foresters are completely ready for this period. Forest fire brigades consist of 343 people, 310 units of equipment. On the territory of the republic there are 23 fire-chemical stations, 18 of FCS-II type and 5 of FCS-III type. 150 mobile fire extinguishing groups were formed.

The Minister noted that in 90% of the cases, people are responsible for forest fires. The fire occurs due to non-compliance with the elementary rules of fire safety. Most fires occur in connection with the beginning of the summer season and in the May holidays.

Ravil Kuzyurov spoke about preventive measures aimed at preventing forest fires and reminded of the fines.

Violation of fire safety rules in forests entails a warning or imposing an administrative fine on citizens in the amount from 1 thousand 500 rubles up to 3 thousand rubles; on officials - from 10 thousand to 20 thousand rubles; on legal entities - from 50 thousand to 200 thousand rubles.

Violation of fire safety rules in forests in conditions of a special fire regime entails the imposition of an administrative fine on citizens in the amount of 4 to 5 thousand rubles; on officials - from 20 to 40 thousand rubles; on legal entities - from 300 to 500 thousand rubles.

Pupils of the secondary educational school No. 3 and children of the preschool institution "Vasilek" submitted the birdhouses made by themselves to the employees of Zainskiy forest district. Foresters hung the houses for birds in parks and squares of the city. Thus, the "Bird Day" was celebrated in Zainsk. It should be noted that the apartments for birds are attached to the trees using a special wire to prevent damage. Previously, a solemn ceremony and a small concert took place. The solemn speech was delivered by Ilnar Khafizov, Head of the Executive Committee of Zainskiy Municipal District and Head and Forest Manager of State Public Institution “Zainskiy Forest District”.

During the annual work on maintaining proper sanitary conditions in forests, as well as within the framework of the declared sanitary and ecological bimonthly period, today the staff of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and employees of forestry districts conducted a massive raid in the forests of our republic to identify unauthorized landfills. In Prigorodnyi Forest District the work was performed on the territory along the road leading to Zelenyi Bor.

Forestry employees conduct ground and aerial surveillance to identify and prevent forests littering, explanatory work with the public and school forestry students on the careful attitude toward the forest, establish information boards in the forests, clean forests of deadwood, carry out collection and removal of garbage to landfills.

By the way, last year in the forests of Tatarstan more than 7 thousand cubic meters of garbage were collected and removed, more than 200 nameplates were installed, 186 persons were brought to administrative responsibility, and fines in the amount of 490 thousand rubles were imposed. It is necessary that each person takes care of the environment. Entering the forest, one should feel personal responsibility, should not allow littering in the forest.

A meeting on the results of work of all forest districts of Tatarstan for the first quarter of 2018, with the participation of specialists from the Ministry and leaders of forestry subordinate institutions was held under the leadership of Ravil Kuzyurov, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. Reports of Emir Bedertdinov, First Deputy Minister and Rais Gumerov, Deputy Minister, were heard at the meeting. The issues of preparation for a fire season and forest-cultivation works in 2018 were touched upon.

It was noted that the forest resources multiplication is one of the priorities for the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. Through the efforts of Tatarstan foresters in 2017 reforestation activities were carried out on a total area of ​​2,815 hectares, including forest planting - 1,831 hectares, assistance to natural renewal - 948 hectares and combined reforestation - 36 hectares, which comprises 100% of the annual plan.

The meeting also touched upon the issues of timber harvesting, auctions holding, cadastral registration of forest fund lands, violations of forest legislation, in particular timber transportation without proper documentation and registration in the LesEGAIS system, as well as illegal logging.

The Minister, having heard the reports, assessed the work of the subordinated institutions with separate comments. Ravil Kuzyurov noted the need to improve the effectiveness of administrative measures for violations of forest legislation.

To accelerate the descent of snow cover from the sowing compartments in the forest nurseries of our republic, necessary work was done to open the crops from snow, the so-called "blackening of snow". According to the subordinated institutions, the depth of snow this year reached from 1.3 to 1.5 meters.

The main goal of "blackening of snow" is to force acceleration of its melting and the solution, thereby the tasks, on improving wintering conditions for plants. "Blackening" of the snow cover can be carried out at different periods of snow on the surface of the soil, depending on the amount of snow that has fallen out.

In particular, the employees of State Public Institution "Aznakaevskiy Forest District" and State Budgetary Institution "Aznakaevskiy Forestry Enterprise" have spread ash on the snow area at the time of its mass melting in the territory of the forest nursery. This procedure significantly reduces the risk of infection of crops with various diseases and reduces the spring sunburn probability, by reducing the reflection of sunlight.

Regular competitions within the Spartakiad among civil servants of the Republic of Tatarstan took place in Kazan in the State Autonomous Institution "Central Specialized Children and Youth Chess School of Olympic Reserve named after R.G. Nezhmetdinov". This time the competitions were held in chess. The team of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan was represented by Andrei Atamanov, Leading Consultant of the Department of Forest Reproduction and Afforestation, Alsu Antonova, Leading Consultant of the Department of Forest Reproduction and Afforestation, Almaz Fayzrakhmanov, Leading Consultant of the Forest Conservation and Protection Sector. Also Zaliya Minullina, Leading Specialist of the Department of Finance, Accounting and Control participated in the competition. She, in turn, being on maternity leave, decided to support the team of the Ministry.

Our team competed with representatives of the Office of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, Administration of Antimonopoly Service for the Republic of Tatarstan, Rospotrebnadzor for the Republic of Tatarstan. Our team played at a high level and showed a decent result.

In Agryzskiy forest district the foresters together with schoolchildren hung out houses for birds. After holidays specialists of the forestry district took the children to the woodland park "Oreshnik", which met everyone brightly as in spring.

A walk to the forest for children of the fourth form of school No. 4 of Agryz town was a real festival. Feed boxes and birdhouses made by schoolchildren together with parents were successfully placed in the forest avenue. The children were pleased not only by the cheerful singing of birds, but also by the pleasant cares of them.

"To love nature means not only to admire its beauties, but also to treat it carefully and productively," said V.L. Ishmuratov, Deputy Head of the forestry district.

The foresters had a conversation with the children about the importance of the forest, how to behave here and the importance of caring for green spaces. On this day, the children learned a lot of interesting things about the benefits of forests and birds. After the event, the schoolchildren received sweet prizes.
