Ravil Kuzyurov, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, participates in the discussion of the results of the forestry work of the Russian Federation in 2017 and tasks for 2018. The plenary session is conducted by Ivan Valentik, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Head of Federal Forestry Agency. Sergei Donskoi, Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Sergei Ivanov, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation on issues of environmental protection, ecology and transport take part in the meeting. During the meeting, the results of the last year will be summed up and the tasks facing the forest complex this year will be announced. The main issues of the meeting are conservation, protection and enhancement of Russian forests, forest fires and pest epidemics combating, introducing an intensive model of forest management and legislative innovations in the forest sector, and topical ways of combating with "black loggers" and illegal timber trade.

Yesterday employees of three authorities worked on tactics and techniques of forest fires extinguishing. In the framework of preparation for the fire season, training was conducted on the interaction between the forces of State Public Institution "Bugulminskiy Forest District", State Budgetary Institution “Bugulminskiy Forestry Enterprise” and Federal Fire-Fighting Service in Bugulminskiy Municipal district. As well as during the event, members of the volunteer fire brigade were trained in labor protection and safety in forest fire extinguishing. This year the fire season is starting in Tatarstan on April 15th.

Today, in the weight control point "Koltso" the state forest inspectors together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate for the Republic of Tatarstan, the Autonomous Non-state Organization "Road Safety" conducted raids on inspecting accompanying documents for the transportation of timber and sawn timber.

In 2018 during the raids eight facts of violations were revealed. This is the transportation of sawn timber without accompanying documents, as well as without registration of purchase and sale transactions in LesEGAIS system.

In relation to the persons committed violations, protocols were drawn up on administrative offenses, vehicles were placed in specialized parking lots.

Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan reminds: the transportation of wood without the accompanying document, which is documented in the order established by the forestry legislation, shall entail the imposition of an administrative fine on officials in the amount of thirty to fifty thousand rubles with the confiscation of timber or vehicles that are the instrument of committing an administrative offense. For legal entities, the fine will be from five hundred to seven hundred thousand rubles.

Employees of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan call on citizens to be vigilant and not to buy stolen timber. You can check the legality of the purchased timber on the Internet - on the site rosleshoz.gov.ru, in LesEGAIS system – which is a unified information system for registration of wood and transactions with it. Reporting of illegal tree felling or other violations is possible by direct forest protection number - 88001009400.

Currently the 1st seed rotation of coniferous seeds has been sown in the Forest Selection and Seed Center of the Republic of Tatarstan. This is a common spruce, as well as ordinary pine with improved hereditary properties in the amount of 500 thousand pieces. Planting material with improved hereditary properties has high qualities of productivity and survival. Currently, there is an automatic maintenance of the necessary microclimate in the greenhouses and watering the planting material. These processes will continue until May 2018.

Students took an active part in "Secrets of Forest" quiz, answered questions, offered their methods of saving forest resources, sang songs about the forest, watched video clips on topics. It was aimed at formation of an active life position in the field of protection and improvement of forest resources.

At the event, the students were familiarized with the work of the forestry sector more closely, and with people who work every day to preserve and replicate the forest which is the main wealth of our country. At the end of the event all guests and participants were treated with sweets.

Today, the employees of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, employees of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, activists of "Will Be Clean" movement, members of the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society, students of the 24th Kazan School participated in an ecological raid in the forest park of Dubrava within the framework of ECOspring-2018. Environmental specialists conducted raid on garbage collection on the ski track. The foresters helped the children to hang the birdhouses on the trees.

The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan experienced another reshufflings. Today at the operational meeting Ravil Kuzyurov, Minister of Forestry, thanked Leysan Mirsaetova, Head of organizational work department, and Nikolai Zolotov, Administrative Officer, for many years of work. They changed their job position. The employees were awarded with certificates.

As well as Ravil Kuzyurov introduced Nataliya Tyukaeva, new Head of organizational work department. Previously, she worked in the administration of Nurlatskiy district

Veterans and disabled people of forestry can count on subsidized firewood in the amount of 8 cubic meters per year. This campaign is carried out within the framework of social partnership, on the basis of collective agreement of the State Public Institution "Nizhnekamskiy Forest District".

Basing on the applications of workers who have moved from work in forestry to a disability pension, regardless of the length of service or old age, they are provided with wood and dead wood for free, and firewood - on preferential terms according to the norms established by the legislation of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Several times a year the specialists of State Public Institution “Menzelinskiy Forest District” conduct various activities for schoolchildren - setting of starling boxes has become a good tradition. As a rule, such events are held on the International Day of Birds, which is celebrated on April 1.

Foresters invited the children to one of the forest parks and told them about the role of forests in human life, about the birds that live in midwood.

At labor lessons, the boys, together with the teachers, made bird houses - 20 pieces in total. Foresters provided the material for the starling boxes.

 "We not only hung the birdhouses, but also learned a lot of interesting about the life of the forest, its inhabitants. We would like to get more such lessons in open air", - shared their impressions children.

The most inquisitive and most informed about the birds pupils received gifts and reminders of a young forest ranger. Foresters hope that such lessons will not pass in vain. And in future, the children will be able to apply the received knowledge for the benefit of nature of their native land.

Project on processing of low-value wood realized by the Turkish company "Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry" since 2013 in the special economic zone "Alabuga", is one of the priority projects for the forestry of the republic. The wood harvested in the framework of felling by the state budget institutions "Forestry Enterprise" is transferred to LLC "Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry" plant for further processing and production of MDF.

Commissioning of the plant creates a market of demand for low-value timber, which allows solving the most important forest management tasks to update the stand and improve the forest composition of the forests of the Republic of Tatarstan.
