Ravil Kuzyurov, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, as part of the Russian delegation is on a working trip to Norway, where from August 2 to 5 in Lillehammer the World Logging Championship will take place. The competition will be attended by a team of the best Russian woodcutters, formed on the basis of the national championship in 2017.

The first World Championship among wood fellers took place in 1970. Initially, the championships were held annually, and since 1996 - every two years. The organizer of the event is the International Association Logging Championships, which unites 28 countries

During the week, employees of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan conduct planned aviation patrolling of forests. At present, the fourth class of fire danger still remains in the forests of the republic. Air patrolling is carried out by AN-2 airplane by three approved routes, in places of mass visiting of forests by citizens of the republic. With the help of the sound equipment installed on the airplane, the population is informed about the high fire danger in the forests, the observance of the norms of the current forest legislation. Over the past week, more than 10 fires have been detected in other categories of land. In the course of air patrols, 3 protocols on violation of forest legislation were compiled.

Aerial patrolling of forests will be carried out until the end of the fire season.

In the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, according to the schedule, an auction was held to sell the right to conclude a contract for the purchase and sale of forest plantations to small and medium-sized businesses. Totally 115 lots were placed to auction from the Leninogorskiy forest district. According to lots No. 28, 29, 86, 93, the auction was deemed to be held, auction participants who offered the highest bidder price of the auction were acknowledged as winners.

With the only participants and winners of the auction, a protocol on the results of the auction is signed and contracts for the sale of forest plantations to small and medium-sized enterprises will be concluded ten days after the date of publication of information on the results of the auction on the official auction site and not later than twenty days after the day of the auction.

About 200 participants from all 30 forest districts of the Republic of Tatarstan fought for the title of the best young forestry worker of the republic.

II Meeting of School Forest Districts of the Republic of Tatarstan was completed in the premises of State Budgetary Professional Education Institution "Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College" in the Kukmorskiy district. Solemn closing of the event took place at the stadium of the educational institution. Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov, Head of the Executive Committee of the Kukmorskiy Municipal District Azat Garifullin, Director of the Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College, Rim Fayzrakhmanov, arrived to congratulate the children and award them with prizes.

"I hope that you have only positive impressions from the meeting and this holiday will be remembered for a long time. I hope the participants of the competitions will return to the Lubyany as students", the Minister said.

In the team event the first place was taken by the team "Nurgali onyklary" of the Sabinskiy school forestry, the second place - the team "Ecos" of the Lubyanskiy school forestry, the third place - the team "Nasledniki prirody" of the Arskiy school forestry. Mamadysh school forestry was awarded in the nomination "For the will to win".

II Meeting of School Forest Districts of the Republic of Tatarstan was held with the support of the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov from 29 to 31 July. In 2018 there are about 50 school forest districts, which unite 1,200 children from 44 schools. The last time such event was held 8 years ago in the Sabinskiy district. Since this year, the meeting of school forest districts is planned to be organized annually.

On July 30, the Second Meeting of School Forest Districts of the Republic of Tatarstan was held in the premises of the State Budgetary Professional Education Institution “Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College” in Kukmorskiy District. The Meeting brought together teams of young foresters from all thirty state budgetary institutions – forest districts. The event was also attended by forest managers and teacher-curators.

The venue of the 2nd Meeting of the School Forest Districts of the Republic of Tatarstan was not chosen by chance. Lubyany is the native land of foresters of Tatarstan. It was namely in Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College that many famous people studied, such as the honored forestry worker of Russia and Tatarstan Nurgali Minnikhanov. Almost a hundred years, the Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College prepares specialists in demand for the timber industry of Tatarstan and neighboring regions.

Addressing the participants of the meeting, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov noted that this meeting was held for the first time in eight years. However, now this event, thanks to the support of the republic's leadership, will become an annual event.

"The guys involved in school forestry, from childhood, are accustomed to love the forest and the surrounding nature; they are invariable assistants to foresters. I am sure that the 2nd Meeting of School Forest Districts of the Republic of Tatarstan will be a significant contribution to the upbringing of the younger generation", the Minister said.

In the course of his speech, Minister Ravil Kuzyurov read the greetings of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

"In our republic, it has always been given great attention to the development of school forest districts. It is here that children are brought up in love for nature, form an active lifestyle in relation to the environment. You play a great role in conservation and protection of forest resources: you work hard, participate in the laying of new forests and parks, help in growing seedlings in nurseries, help to protect the forest from fires. Young foresters are real patriots of their native land".

Sergei Kovalev, Deputy Head of the Department of Forestry in the Volga Federal District addressed the children on behalf of the Federal Forestry Agency.

"You already know that 2018 is announced in the Russian Federation as the Year of Volunteer. All schoolchildren - participants of school forest districts unselfishly on a voluntary basis help forestry specialists to restore and save forests, implement various environmental projects".

The Head of the Sabinskiy municipal district Rais Minnikhanov said that the previous meeting was held eight years ago in Saby, the event in Lubyany is not inferior in terms of organization level, and the guys will necessarily show good results in the competitions.

For three days the children are waiting for an unprecedented holiday, where contests, forest competitions and workshops on forest subjects will be organized (art painting of spoons, basket-weaving, wool sketching "Forest motives", making nest boxes, carving wood). The children will be shown a tour of the forestry, during which they will see how the harvesting machinery harvester and the forwarder operation.

During the competition, the schoolchildren will have to demonstrate not only knowledge about the forest and its inhabitants, but also the ability to work in a team, orienting in the forest, skills to overcome obstacles, fire extinguishing and forest mensuration (measurement of trees with surveying compass, altimeter and an angle gauge).

Thanks to the support of the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the winners of the Second Meeting will receive laptops, tablets, smartphones, watches, forest measuring instruments that will be useful for further training in forestry.

In 2010, the first republican meeting of school forest districts was held in the republic, where teams of young foresters from all thirty forest districts of the Republic of Tatarstan gathered. The event was held in the Sabinskiy forestry. At present, in accordance with the instructions of the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation A.G. Khloponin, the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, in conjunction with the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and the Federal Forestry Agency, has developed a plan for the development of school forest districts for 2018-2027. Ravil Kuzyurov, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, made a working trip to the Aznakaevskiy forest district. During his trip he was accompanied by Head of Aznakaevskiy municipal district Marsel Shaydullin and Head of Sarmanovskiy municipal district Farit Khusnullin.

As part of the working trip, the Minister inspected the planting of forest crops in 2018, which are located near the town of Aznakaevo, and planted on the area of ​​5 hectares. All seedlings - with a closed root system, which ensures a high survival rate of forest crops. Also, the Minister got acquainted with the greenhouse in the State Budgetary Institution "Aznakaevskiy Forestry Enterprise", where the birch seedlings are cultivated. The Director of the forestry enterprise Eduard Chikurov said that the seedlings grow in a greenhouse in one year, while on the open ground the quality planting material can be obtained within two years. Later the basic nursery of Chatyrtau district forestry was examined, where the main forest-forming breeds are grown.

Also, the Minister got acquainted with sanitary felling, logging and the work of sawmilling shops in Sarmanovskiy district forestry.

After the inspection of the facilities, a meeting with the employees of forest district and forestry establishment was held, during which the Minister gave his comments and suggestions. Participants in the meeting asked questions that the Minister instructed to take under control.

The Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov met with the entrants of the Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College. Future students together with their parents came to the Ministry from different regions of Tatarstan. 
Rifat Fakhriev from Kutlu-Bukash village of Rybno-Slobodskiy district became from the family of foresters, his grandfather worked for more than 30 years in the Kzyl-Yulduzskiy forest district, his choice was made consciously. "I love forest, nature. Since childhood grandfather was an example for me, now I want to bind my life with this direction", - said Rifat Fakhriev. His parents came to support Rifat, they positively accepted chose of their son. 
Timofey Skornyakov from Kazan learned about the Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College from his acquaintances: "I want to be a forester, I watched the presentation film, I liked everything!" said Timofey Skornyakov. 
Minister Ravil Kuzyurov told the graduates about the state of affairs in the forestry industry, about the Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College, about the importance of the forestry profession, met and talked with the guys. 
"Famous statesmen who in their careers passed from the site master to the Minister of Forestry, graduated from the Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College. It is difficult to work in the forest, but this is an interesting, and most important, demanded job. The main task of foresters is to preserve and multiply the forest", said Minister Ravil Kuzyurov

Activity of the forestry enterprises employees is mostly depends on the season - especially summer months are considered busy. This is a time of painstaking work. For successful growth of young trees, timely agrotechnical care for forest cultures is required. It is necessary to conduct four-fold maintenance during the growing season. Such maintenance can be carried out both mechanically and manually. In case of untimely maintenance, grass, as well as shoots of trees, cover the seedlings and do not give them access to light for active growth. Also, untimely carrying out of the waste is threatened by the fact that in winter, when snow falls, the grass leans on the seedlings and crushes them to the ground, which leads to the destruction of these forest cultures.

Agro maintenance started in forest districts is gaining momentum. At the moment, the work is completed at 60% of the total. The largest volume of work was done in Kamskiy, Kzyl-Yulduzskiy and Menzelinskiy forest districts. They account for 600, 500 and 700 hectares. And totally in the Republic of Tatarstan, agrotechnical maintenance was carried out on the area of ​​10,083 hectares.

From 29 to 31 July the Second meeting of school forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan will be held in the premises of State Budgetary Professional Educational Institution "Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College" in Lubyany village of Kukmorskiy district.
