International Day of Forests is celebrated all over world on March 21, 2020. On the eve of the holiday, before the spring holidays, experts from the forest industry of Tatarstan held events dedicated to the International Day of Forests in educational institutions of the republic.

Results of the international competition “European Tree – 2020” have been summed up. According to the results of the online voting, the Russian tree “Lonely Poplar” won an honorable third place with 27,411 votes

Pupils of the “Nasledniki prirody” school forest district of Leskhoz Secondary School of Arskiy district held a campaign “Green Pharmacy”.

On March 18, 2020, the International “Garden of Remembrance” campaign dedicated to perpetuating the memory of citizens who gave their lives for their homeland during the years of World War II will be launched in the Russian Federation.

Today, a lecture as part of the Year of the 100th Anniversary of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic Foundation was held at the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan.

By order of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, R.N. Minnikhanov No. 124 dated March 16, 2020, the Consolidated Plan for Extinguishing Forest Fires on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan was approved.

Currently, the forest nurseries of the Republic of Tatarstan are working on “snow blackening” - scattering of ash on the areas of sowing branches in order to accelerate the descent of snow cover and preserve water in the soil.

Events dedicated to the International Day of Forests have been launched in the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Branch of the Federal Budgetary Institution “Roslesozashchita” - “Forest Protection Center of the Republic of Tatarstan” continues work on checking batches of seeds of forest plants as part of the state task “State Monitoring of Forest Reproduction” in 2020.

An event dedicated to the International Day of Birds took place in Menzelinskiy Boarding School in Menzelinsk town.
